Outstanding international law centre in France, with great visibility and undisputed international renown, the IHEI Research Centre supervises studies in the following areas: developments in investment law, studies of new conflict resolution mechanisms, recourse to force and collective security measures after the end of the Cold War, current uncertainties of international sources in international legal order and domestic order.

The research covers four topics of reference in particular:

• jurisdictions and international economic law,
• uncertainties and recourse to force,
• competence limitations and immunities,
• international legal order and domestic legal orders.
