The CEJEN was created in 1997 when a partnership agreement was signed between Panthéon-Assas University and the Paris Bar Association, aimed at encouraging and developing research and teaching programmes on the legal and sociological consequences of the development of multimedia technology and services.
The CEJEN develops activities organised around multimedia usage as an object of study and instrument of research.
Study topics mainly cover:
- copyright and digital technology,
- cyberlaw,
- multimedia and information technology law,
- electronic market regulation,
- e-commerce.
